SLEEGERS Engineered Products developed a comprehensive Quality Control Manual that includes policies and procedures specifically tailored to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved for all projects.

Quality Control is consulted at the quotation stage of each project to ensure all requirements can be met prior to agreement to proceed. Quality Control is included with material procurement through purchase order review and is directly responsible for all receiving, inspection and acceptance including material identification and traceability maintenance. In process control is ensured through individual weld fit-up and weld inspections by the Quality Control.

Testing and Procedures to ensure quality control

Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI), Positive Material Identification (PMI), are a few of the non-destructive examinations (NDE) employed to ensure weld quality is maintained. RT, MT, UT, and PMI examinations are sub-contracted while we maintain an in-house liquid penetrant procedure with personnel qualified to CGSB Level II. SLEEGERS Engineered Products performs in-house hardness testing and is equipped with an ultrasonic thickness gauge to monitor our fabrications or your in-service vessels or piping.

Final hydrostatic testing is tightly monitored to ensure the final pressure component will fulfill its intended service. A variety of calibrated pressure gauges are maintained, and when required a strip chart recorder can be used to monitor the time/pressure/temperature relation during the final test of products.

Finally, record retention is a standard practice in our Quality Control System and final data packages can be made available to our respective customers.
